This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present few Health and Safety risks.
General Information
This course is for nominated emergency firs-aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive one day first aid course. Maximum of 12 attendees. A complete training package to include comprehensive training manual, certificate and all training aids for use throughout the course.

Course content
On completion of training, sucessful candidates will be able to:
a) understand the role of the first-aider including reference to: the importance of preventing cross-infection; the need for recording incidents and actions; use of available equipment;
b) assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency; administer first aid to a casualty who is unconcious (including seizures); administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation; administer first aid to a casualty who is choking; administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding; administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock; provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries.
Course Assessment
This course is subject to ongoing assessment by the Instructor throughout the course. There is no final assessment. The Instructor observes attendees practice sessions as the training progresses to ensure the required level of understanding.
Course Certification
All successful attendees will be awarded a certificate, which meets all the requirements for an Appointed Person in the Workplace. Valid for 3 years.

A room that will comfortably seat your amount of attendees and allow for floor practice for the duration of the course.
