Emergency First Aid for the Workplace

This course has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the small to medium workplaces that present fewer health and safety risks. Our course meets the requirements of the new Foundation course that the Health and Safety Executive is recommending under the new structure for first aid in the UK.

Who should attend?

Anyone who is interested is providing first aid.

What will the candidate learn?

First Aid lifesaving techniques and gain the knowledge to deal with a first aid incident in the workplace effectively.
Our unique first aid training courses empower the candidates with the skills and knowledge to manage effectively any first aid emergency and minor situation.

Course content:

– Understanding the role of the first aider
– Understanding the Health & Safety
(First Aid) Regulations
– Managing a first aid incident
– CPR – 2005 Guidelines
– Dealing with an unconscious casualty
– Dealing with casualties suffering from:
• Heart attacks
• Seizures
• Bleeding & Wounds
• Shock
• Choking
• Minor injuries
– Additional optional contents can be:
• Dealing with burns
• Dealing with fractures

Assessment:

There will be continuous assessment by the trainer.

Course duration:
Minimum 6 hours, maximum 8 hours.
Certificate Validity:
3 Years
